
President Javier Milei arrived in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to participate in the G20 Leaders' Summit. During his stay, a private meeting is scheduled with the President of China, Xi Jinping.
The first activity of the President is expected to be his participation in the Plenary of Heads of State, where leaders will discuss issues such as the fight against hunger and poverty, as well as the reform of global governance institutions. Additionally, they will share a working lunch and participate in the traditional group photo of the Summit.
Although a private meeting with Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva is not planned, it will be the first time that the Argentine President and the President of Brazil meet face to face, after various exchanges before and after Milei's arrival at the Casa Rosada.
On the agenda for the first day of the G20 Summit, a bilateral meeting between President Milei and the President of the World Bank, Ajay Banga, is highlighted, as well as a reception for all participating Heads of State.
For the second day, bilateral meetings with world leaders and businesspeople will take place. The most important and anticipated meeting will be the interview of the Argentine President with Xi Jinping, President of China. Additionally, Milei will meet with the Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and the General Manager of the Italian company Enel, Flavio Cattaneo.
The day will conclude with President Milei's return flight to Buenos Aires, thus closing his participation in the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro.
